Highgrove Gardens
Located near Tetbury in Gloucestershire, Highgrove is the private residence of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The gardens are open to the public between April and October, with all proceeds helping to fund our work.

Learn with us at Highgrove
All profits from Highgrove Gardens tours, shop and other commercial activities are donated to The King’s Foundation to fund our education and training programmes. Some of these are delivered on-site at Highgrove, at our Barley Court and Street Farm workshops, in the below subject areas.
Snowdon School of Furniture
Curated by Lord Snowdon, Vice President of The King’s Foundation, the Snowdon School of Furniture has two main strands. The CREATE residential programme runs over a few months and offers graduate furniture students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of timber and explore creative uses of sustainable materials. The Snowdon Summer School of Furniture is a bespoke training course that runs over six days and teaches students fine furniture skills in preparation for vocational cabinet-making jobs.
Fashion and textiles
Based at Highgrove, the CHANEL and The King’s Foundation deliver two training programmes in partnership with le19M – the Métiers d’art Emboidery Fellowship and the Métiers d’art Millinery Fellowship. These programmes are delivered on-site at Barley Court on the Highgrove estate and complemented by tuition at le19M in Paris. They are delivered by artisans and highly skilled tutors, with mentorship and guidance given by the Creative Directors of Lesage, Atelier Montex and Lemarié.
Highgrove Traditional Crafts
Highgrove Traditional Crafts offer a collection of training programmes, short courses, masterclasses, workshops, and events in heritage and craft skills, catering for furniture-making as well as stonemasonry and related crafts. The focus of the training is to support industry through skill provision and to offer workshops for beginners, advanced learners, and community-focused activities.
Events and workshops
From black-tie dinners to craft workshops, there are plenty of ways to experience Highgrove through events and workshops.
