Highgrove Public Programmes

At our specialist education facility on the Highgrove Estate, Barley Court, we run a range of public courses and workshops. These workshops and masterclasses are delivered by experienced and well-respected tutors that support and celebrate traditional craft skills. We also encourage craft practice through community and outreach projects.

The studios at Highgrove bring together existing and aspiring designers and makers in textiles and furniture and associated crafts, such as stone and wood carving and provides training for all levels and abilities.

We foster new relationships with supporters of craft and encourage expert practitioners to engage with us to develop workshops and courses which are suitable for beginner to intermediate and advanced-level learners. Provision is inclusive and accessible to all. We aim to create a space that values both people and planet, encourages collaboration and helps all makers to flourish in their artisanal endeavors.
