The Tamar Manoukian Residential Centre at Dumfries House
Set within the 2,000 acres of the Dumfries House estate grounds, our Outdoor Centre hosts residential trips for schools.
A range of activities
From climbing and archery to STEM, farming and gardening, there’s something for everyone.
Our programmes will keep participants entertained each day from 9am—9pm. Sessions running for 1-1.5hrs in length and there is time set aside for free play on our adventure obstacle course. Each programme is bespoke to schools with wellbeing, resilience building, reflective journaling, arts and crafts as well as activity and adventure.
Accommodation
Our bunkhouse has two wings that can accommodate 22 young people and three staff on each side.
We have 12 bedrooms, all on one level, that host up to 50 people. The bunkhouse also has a kitchen, eating area and lounge area.

Who are the staff that run the Outdoor Centre?
We have a dedicated team of staff who run the Outdoor Centre and who will be your school’s main points of contact during your stay.
We have a wider team of education experts who deliver a range of programmes across the estate grounds that your school will have access to.
