Make the most of the September break with a family adventure on the farm! We’re opening the gates at Valentin’s Education Farm on the Dumfries House Estate for special public tours. Meet our rare-breed animals, say hello to the chicks and enjoy all the usual farm favourites. There may even be some piglets to spot, although their appearance cannot be guaranteed, life on the farm is always full of surprises!
Led by our friendly farm team, this relaxed, hands-on visit is the perfect way for families to enjoy the September break together. Children and grown-ups will meet the animals who call Valentin’s Farm their home, learn more about life on a working farm and make special memories.
Tours last approximately one hour and sell out VERY quickly. Booking is essential.
Tickets are available for Adults and Children priced at £13 (16 and over) and £8.50 (aged 5-15). Children aged 4 and under are free.
Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult, with a minimum of one adult for every three children under the age of 10.
In the interest of hygiene, food and drink will not be allowed during the tour.
Please click here to read some important information for PREGNANT WOMEN, before booking.
Accessibility – Please note that while our farm tour has no steps, the terrain is naturally uneven and can be “boggy” in places, especially during wet weather. Pathways are primarily gravel, which may be challenging for wheelchairs, mobility aids, and pushchairs. Visitors are very welcome to use these if they wish, but we want everyone to be aware that access may be difficult in parts of the route.
When: Monday 21st and Friday 25th September. Hour-long sessions available to book throughout the day.
