Dame Ann Limb DBE to step down as Chair of The King’s Foundation having been conferred a Life Peerage
The Chair of The King’s Foundation, Dame Ann Limb DBE, has been conferred a life peerage by His Majesty The King. The nomination, made by the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, will see Dame Ann take the title Baroness Limb, of Moss Side in the City of Manchester. She will sit on the Labour benches in the House of Lords.
As a result of the appointment, and with the agreement of her fellow Trustees, Dame Ann will be stepping down from her role as Chair and Trustee of The King’s Foundation in 2026 ahead of taking the Oath of Allegiance. Until then, Dame Ann will continue in her role as Chair while the Board undertakes a process to find her successor.
“This is a significant honour and not one I had expected. I shall miss the work I have been able to do for The King’s Foundation enormously but I am hopeful that this new role will allow me to put my life experiences and skills into practice, albeit in a slightly different way.”
