35 under 35 is a network of makers and changemakers, brought together as part of our 35th anniversary celebrations, to advocate for the change we want to see in the world.

Emma Angus
@wilderbloomsukEmma is the face behind WilderBlooms, a florist that only works with British grown, seasonal flowers, many grown on her small flower farm in Ayrshire, Scotland.
Flowers bring the beauty of nature into our homes, but often this comes at a great cost to the earth and local ecosystems.
WilderBlooms does not use imported flowers or pesticides, and uses only biodegradable packaging. An avid gardener and environmentalist, Emma set up WilderBlooms in 2023 when she realised shopping online for sustainable bunches of flowers wasn’t simple or transparent. She now sends her eco-friendly blooms to doorsteps across the UK.

Mariam Ashraf
@moma_white_placeMariam Ashraf is passionate about traditional crafts and arts. She studied at Beit Jameel in Cairo, specializing in the craft of gypsum work.
She contributed to a project documenting the geometric and floral motifs of historic Cairo and founded her brand, MOMA, to share her artistic work and help preserve this heritage.
Mariam is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Traditional Arts at The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts in London, continuing her mission to keep traditional craftsmanship alive.

Eli Baxter
@eli_baxter_woodwork19-year-old Eli is a woodworker, furniture maker and also has his own sawmill.
Milling most of his own wood from fallen trees in the local area, he then dries and uses the timber to make furniture and other products.
Eli featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces on Channel 4 twice as the youngest builder on the show.

Ben Brown
@goinggreenmediaBen Brown is a documentary filmmaker, content creator, and the co-founder of Going Green Media, which films solutions for the planet that inspire action.
His work spotlights the individuals, organisations, and inventions that are pioneering better, more sustainable and regenerative solutions to some of the planet’s most pressing problems, as well as emphasises how these innovations are benefitting individuals, communities, and industries around the world.
In using digital and social media as activism to reach millions each month, Going Green’s content shares stories of hope and optimism that encourage the mobilisation of people of all ages around the world.

Marie Bruhat
@fairislewithmarieMarie Bruhat is a knitwear designer, teacher, and crofter living on Fair Isle, one of the most remote inhabited islands in the UK.
Originally from France, she was welcomed into this close-knit community, where passing down skills is central to life. Learning Fair Isle knitting from local experts has been an incredible gift, and she is committed to carrying this tradition forward.
Alongside raising a flock of 65 pure Shetland sheep, she creates high-quality knitwear and teaches others to make it themselves through knitting holidays and online courses, helping to share and preserve this heritage far beyond the island’s shores.

William Campion
@campiondesignsWill Campion is a serial-entrepreneur, inventor of the world’s first carbon-negative, robotic construction method and among the world’s youngest architects to establish an award-winning practice.
Starting Campion Design at 19 to pay his way through university, Will’s visionary, sustainable buildings have since been recognised by prestigious industry awards and international magazines. As a lead architect at Bjarke Ingels Group, BIG, in New York and London, he designed ambitious climate-resilient projects including the Manhattan flood defences and a floating city presented at the UN. Committed to systemic change, Will then founded Offgrid Works, developing cutting-edge, robotic construction techniques that are now building affordable, net-zero housing globally; helping solve the housing and climate crises simultaneously.

Gabriel Chaim
@gabrielluizchaimGabirel’s art is centered on the revival and continuation of sacred artistic traditions with a contemporary stance.
His work integrates traditional techniques, such as gilding, egg tempera, and geometric composition, to create paintings that resonate with the eternal archetypes present in all sacred art forms.
Gabriel is a painter, lecturer and tutor – passionate about educating others in traditional arts – and he has also worked as a specialist painter and gilder for projects at Buckingham Palace, Forbes House, and Drapers’ Hall.

Ciara Doyle

Angelica Ellis
@angelica_ellisAngelica Nadine Ellis is an interdisciplinary designer specialising in couture hand embroidery. Angelica has worked with Chanel’s Maison Lemarié, Atelier Lebuisson, and Atelier Baqué Molinié, where she created embroidery samples for clients such as Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Fendi, and Schiaparelli.
In London, she worked as an embroidery sampler for fashion designer Ashish. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion from Central Saint Martins and a Master’s in Fashion from the Royal College of Art. Additionally, Angelica completed the Chanel & King’s Foundation Métiers d’Art Embroidery Fellowship in partnership with Le19M. Angelica is now an embroidery specialist for Harrods new made to measure department. She designs and makes embroidery while working alongside a tailor to create bespoke garments for Harrods client.

Sean Evelegh
@sean_eveleghWoodworking has been Sean’s passion since he was a child, having fallen in love with the art at school. Sean went on to study for a degree in Furniture Design and Making at Rycotewood Furniture Centre, graduating with a distinction and then subsequently started his own woodworking studio.
Sean is a member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, Art Workers’ Guild, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Sean’s work has been exhibited around the UK and he’s commissioned to build furniture for private clients, furniture shops and interior designers around the world.

Dami Fadun
@damifadunDami is founder and creative director of LUVV GOD, and an architecture student at the University of Cambridge. He’s passionate about blending creativity, design, and entrepreneurship to create meaningful experiences.
Through his work, Dami explores how architecture, fashion, and faith can intersect to foster spaces of belonging, community, and togetherness. His goal is to design environments where people feel connected and empowered. Whether through a building, a garment, or a gathering, Dami is driven to create with purpose and sensitivity – believing that true belonging begins with being seen.

Kyle Frank

Alice Fry
@alicefryjewelleryAlice Fry is an award-winning silversmith and jeweller, who hand sculpts metal into geology-inspired forms from her workshop at The Sculpture Lounge in Holmfirth, Yorkshire.
She encapsulates the natural beauty of crystals, rocks and mineral specimens using the ancient silversmithing technique: ‘chasing and repoussé’.
Alice specialises in working with the metal niobium and is one of the only makers in the UK using this refractory metal. This enables her to add vibrant and iridescent colours to her pieces through the technique of anodising.

Peter Gilchrist
@tenementkitchenPeter Gilchrist is a Scottish food history writer, the Guild of Food Writer’s Best Newcomer 2024, co-director of the Scottish Food heritage Symposium and contributor to BBC Radio Scotland.
Writing under the name of Tenement Kitchen, Peter is focused on preserving Scotland’s food skills and raising the profile of the power of food history.

Beth Gregg
@clavertonclochesBeth Gregg is the founder of Claverton Cloches, a British company reviving historic garden tools and accessories inspired by traditional kitchen gardens.
Passionate about craftsmanship and intentional design, Beth creates beautiful, enduring pieces from her Bath-based workshop—an uncommon approach in today’s horticultural industry.
Influenced by the great English gardens, many of which she now supplies, her work champions nature-respecting horticulture and generational longevity.

Sophie Gregory
@farmer_in_trainingSophie farms with her husband Tom on the Dorset-Devon border. They run an organic dairy farm which includes arable and beef production of 1,400 acres in the Dorset countryside. They have been organic for more than 10 years. Their farm consists of 400 dairy cows.
Sophie is very focused on working with the community, this includes hosting school trips, farming discussion groups, and going into schools to teach children about dairy farming. Sophie is first generation and feels responsible to encourage people from non-agricultural background into the industry and employees apprentices and work experience students to learn more about farming. She won the Women in Dairy, 2021 Dairy Woman of the Year Award and just finishing her Nuffield scholarship titled ‘what’s the future of organic dairy’.

Momoka Gomi
@momokagomiMomoka is a Japanese-born, UK-based textile artist, using weaving to explore memory, time, and identity.
Through handwoven denim, linen, and silk, she reflects on transformation and the beauty of decay, employing techniques like bleaching and sandpapering to convey life’s impermanence.
Integrating gold lines and organic patterns, Momoka’s work honours personal stories and the weaving tradition. By blending traditional craft techniques with contemporary concepts, she aims to create meaningful artwork that bridges past and present.

Florence Hamer
@flohamerFlo is a traditional craftswoman specialising in basketry and green woodworking. Her work centres around a passion for endangered crafts, the stories behind them, and her desire to keep these heritage skills alive. She believes everyone should have access to craft.
Flo is a full time maker and teacher, based in Bristol. She works with natural materials such as willow, hazel, ash and oak.
Flo is a member of Heritage Crafts, and the Basketmakers Association, regularly exhibits work, and was winner of best Contemporary Basket 2023 in the ‘Basketry of the Year’ competition held by the Basketmakers Association.

Rosa Harradine
@rosaharradineRosa Harradine is a broom and brush maker who creates pieces that are both beautiful and useful. Her work is made entirely by hand, using natural materials including arenga, tampico and broomcorn fibres. She harvests many of her broom handles from her small patch of woodland, and her long-term goal is to grow her own broom fibre.
Rosa was chosen as a TOAST New Maker 2022 by the fashion and homewares brand who selected five makers demonstrating excellence in skill, originality and craftsmanship. She is passionate about sharing her heritage craft skills and regularly teaches brush and broom making workshops.

Jack Harries
@jackharriesJack Harries is a British filmmaker, climate activist, and storyteller who uses media to spotlight urgent global issues.
He first rose to prominence through the YouTube channel JacksGap, where his curiosity and authentic voice built a global following.
Today, through his production company Earthrise Studio, Jack creates environmental films that document the climate crisis and amplify frontline voices.
His work blends art and activism, aiming to spark conversation, inspire action, and redefine what it means to be a creator in the 21st century.

Barnaby Horn
@barnabyhornBarnaby Horn is a London-based milliner and recent graduate of the Royal College of Art.
He is known for his queering of classic hat shapes and his unique voice in the industry as a Millinery Poet or Storyteller.
Before joining the King’s Foundation Millinery Fellowship, Barnaby was awarded the British Hat Guild Award, the Feltmakers Award at Cockpit and the Guy Morse-Brown Graduate Award.

Sauda Imam
@simplysaudaSauda Imam is a Textile Designer whose work seamlessly weaves heritage into contemporary design. Informed by her experiences at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art, her creations form a vibrant bridge between tradition and innovation.
Imam’s handwoven fabrics echo the rich tapestry of her Nigerian roots, transforming cultural memory into tactile art. More than artistic expressions, her textiles tell compelling stories of pride, identity, and creative evolution. Each thread invites the viewer on a journey where tradition meets the avant-garde — and every piece stands as a testament to the enduring power of heritage in a modern world.

Vee Kativhu
@veekativhuDr. Varaidzo (Vee) Kativhu is an award-winning education activist, Oxford and Harvard graduate, and founder of Empowered By Vee, a charity supporting underrepresented students. Named one of BBC’s 100 Women and a British Vogue Force for Change, Dr. Vee uses her global platform to advocate for girls’ education, equity, and youth empowerment.
She has spoken on stages with the UN, UNICEF, and UNESCO, and was recently awarded an honorary doctorate for her impact. Through storytelling, policy, and purpose-driven action, Dr. Vee helps young people believe in their worth, rewrite their narratives, and take up space — unapologetically.

Izzy Letty
@izzylettyceramicsIzzy is a potter specialising in wheel thrown ceramics. Her pottery is often characterised by rounded forms and cobalt blue markings and she’s worked with establishments such as Fortnum & Mason.
She’s interested in creating glazes using natural and waste materials and hopes to develop a range of homeware pieces glazed in this way.
Alongside her ceramics practice, Izzy runs a studio in London called Stoneware Studios which teaches students wheel throwing. Teaching students to make pots is a great passion of hers as it’s not only about connecting with clay, but students experiencing a moment of calm and focus.

Freya de Lisle
@delislemasonryFreya has been an apprentice stonemason at York Minster for the last three years.
She undertakes banker masonry, carving, fixing, and conservation work using traditional craft skills, and she’s dedicated to a career in the preservation of heritage sites.
Working on York Minster has enabled her to appreciate the responsibility stonemasons and craftspeople have to the longevity of the historic buildings in the UK, and the conservation of the knowledge of traditional hand skills. She has discussed the importance of these matters on BBC1’s The Repair Shop On The Road, and in National Geographic.

Conor Lynch
@c_k_lynch @greathousesandestatesConor Lynch works in the field of architecture on designs for new buildings in the Classical tradition. He is also host of Great Houses & Estates, a series exploring the design and history of country houses.
Conor has had a passion for hand drawing and the countryside from an early age, growing up in Ireland, which complements his thoughtful approach to design. He is committed to creating enduring architecture using natural materials and time-honoured details that celebrate beauty, craftsmanship, and place. He has had the honour of contributing to new architectural work in Poundbury, a creation of His Majesty the King, reflecting his dedication to designing timeless architecture that stands the test of time.

Siobhan Mackenzie
@siobhan__mackenzieSiobhan Mackenzie is an eponymously named Scottish fashion brand, founded in 2014, when the designer was twenty-one years old.
The brand draws profoundly on its Highland heritage- established by Siobhan Mackenzie who is a multi-award-winning fashion designer from The Black Isle – and champions a Made in Scotland ethos where traditional craftsmanship and innovative design are fused together.
Siobhan is an advocate for sustainable fashion and textiles, which was greatly influenced by growing up with her father working as an environment officer. She prominently features British textiles, namely wool, in her work and proudly works in contrast to the fast-fashion industry.

Sander Nevejans
@sandernevejans @seastex.officialSander found Seatex in London in 2021, to transform mussel beards, or ‘byssus’ – the natural fibres mussels use to anchor themselves and a by-product of the aquaculture industry – into a sustainable textile product. Now based in Glasgow, the company produces byssus products for the UK and EU.
Sander drew inspiration from centuries old techniques, reviving an ancient craft and reimagining it for the 21st century to address key climate challenges and create green jobs in coastal communities.

Isabelle Pennington-Edmead
@isabellepenningtonedmeadIsabelle Pennington-Edmead is a British-Caribbean fashion designer and founder of her eponymous label, known for creating bold, expressive womenswear that blends Caribbean heritage with refined British craftsmanship.
With a background in textile design and a strong commitment to sustainability, her work celebrates storytelling through vibrant, hand-drawn prints and carefully considered materials.
Made-to-order pieces are created in her studio in the North West of England, while wholesale collections are now produced in award-winning sustainable UK factories. The brand uses ethical practices such as circular design, natural and recycled fabrics, and low-impact production methods.

Jack Pepper
@jrapepperJack Pepper is one of the UK’s youngest commissioned composers and youngest ever national radio presenter. He spent his teens composing for the Royal Opera House, Classic FM and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and now has two stage musicals in development.
Aged 19 he helped to create Scala Radio, the UK’s third national classical station, Jack has presented weekend afternoons there since 2019, and now on its successor, Magic Radio’s Magic Classical.
He also writes for Gramophone Magazine and in June 2024 released his debut book, ‘Raising The Roof’. He is an ambassador for national charity Music For Youth and creator of the Thank Your Music Teacher campaign.

Jo Rance
@jorancedesignJo Rance is an emerging contemporary British painter residing in Cambridgeshire, England. Taking note of her surrounding countryside, flora and fauna through location drawing, Jo primarily works with Acrylic on Canvas in her studio.
Continuously informed by the British landscape throughout the seasons, there’s an organic pull for her to document the natural world through her work.
Jo’s paintings intend to provoke the sense of natural wonder and intrinsic joy everyone should have the opportunity to feel when outdoors, with a primary focus on our landscape here in the UK.

Jana Spence
@janaspence.designsJana Spence is a furniture designer and maker who blends artistic vision with functional craftsmanship. Since beginning her journey in 2018, Jana has cultivated a distinctive approach to furniture design through formal education at Nottingham Trent University and specialized training in sustainable materials and joinery techniques at the Snowdon School of Furniture.
Drawing inspiration from nature and art, Jana creates pieces that serve as both practical furniture and artistic statements. Her work aims to enhance spaces aesthetically while maintaining functionality. Through collaborations with fellow craftspeople across the industry, Jana continually evolves her techniques and processes, incorporating diverse influences into her sustainable design practice.

Tihara Smith
@tiharasmithTihara Smith is a fashion designer and textile artist specialising in raffia embroidery inspired by traditional Caribbean crafts and the Windrush Generation.
Her work celebrates Caribbean heritage and pays tribute to her Caribbean grandparents through sustainable design. In 2021, the London Museum acquired an outfit from her graduate collection, and she has led workshops for cultural institutions including the V&A and Somerset House.
Through collaborations with community groups and corporations, Tihara brings the Windrush story to diverse audiences. She continues to celebrate the Caribbean and preserve its cultural heritage through thoughtful design.

Liberty Watts
@liberty_rose_architectsLiberty (Libby) Watts is Director of Liberty Rose Architects, an RIBA Specialist Conservation Architect and SPAB Scholar. Since founding her practice in 2020, she has specialised in the care, repair, and adaptation of historic buildings—both ecclesiastical and secular—across all RIBA work stages.
Her work includes quinquennial inspections, feasibility studies, and the management of complex conservation projects from inception to completion. Passionate about sustainability and heritage, Libby champions sensitive repair, traditional craft skills, and conservation education. Through her work and her role as a SPAB Guardian, she aims to inspire the next generation and contribute to the protection of our historic environment.

Laura Young
@lesswastelauraLaura is an winning climate activist, environmental scientist, and ethical influencer.
Laura’s social media platforms continue to grow, creating a community of activists. You can find her on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, BlueSky, and YouTube all under @LessWasteLaura.
She was recently awarded the Scottish Influencer of the Year – Inspiration for her work.
