Ambassador David Beckham visits RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the first time to tease the launch of a new campaign to get young people into horticulture

The King’s Foundation Ambassador David Beckham made his RHS Chelsea Flower Show debut today to tease an upcoming project which will aim to encourage young people to consider careers in horticulture.
This year at The King’s Foundation, we are celebrating our 35th anniversary, marking over three decades of work to build sustainable communities and transform lives, particularly through building and maintaining green spaces and encouraging learning inspired by nature amongst young people. Our work is based on The King’s philosophy of working in Harmony with nature.

Mr Beckham met Their Majesties The King and Queen at the Highgrove Shop stand, where all proceeds go towards the work of The King’s Foundation, for which David Beckham has acted as an ambassador for a year.

Spending time with legendary gardener and fellow King’s Foundation Ambassador Alan Titchmarsh, David Beckham visited the Highgrove Shop and the London Square Chelsea Pensioners Garden, where the work of King’s Foundation furniture making alumni Lily Hitchcock and Hannah Evans was featured as the table centrepiece.

David Beckham’s attendance at today’s event teases an upcoming King’s Foundation campaign, in partnership with the RHS, which will be supported by Mr Beckham and Mr Titchmarsh in their roles as charity ambassadors for the Foundation, and will encourage young people to consider careers in horticulture, to protect our green spaces and natural environment for future generations.
