Countryside Futures: Careers in Action – hosted by The King’s Foundation and the Royal Highland Education Trust
This free, action-packed event for S2–S6 pupils from Ayrshire and Arran, bringing Farming and Rural careers to life through a series of interactive stations. Take part in practical challenges, explore areas such as agricultural technology, animal care, land management and food production, and speak directly with people working across the sector. You’ll discover the wide range of job roles available, learn about training, apprenticeships and progression routes, and see how the subjects and skills you are developing at school can lead to an exciting and rewarding career in the countryside.

- When Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th November 2026 – 10am until 2pm each day
- Audience S2 – S6 pupils only, schools from Ayrshire and Arran only.
- Ticket purchasing Maximum of 25 per school
- Cost Free
- Transport RHET Ayrshire and Arran will be in touch to discuss providing some help towards transport costs.
