STEM Education Workshops – Early Secondary School

Book now

Join us in the STEM centre, where we are really spoiling you this autumn, with a choice of more than 10 different workshops available!

Working with pupils right through Primary school and into early Secondary stage we’re excited to offer workshops based around the themes of Aerospace, Green Energy, Environmental Science and Sustainable Design. See below for further information on the secondary school programmes.

Our school education workshops support the delivery of The Curriculum For Excellence, and many of our activities are based outdoors on our 2,000 acre estate, making use of our natural spaces to inspire learning. The King’s Foundation works in harmony with the natural world, and as such our workshops also touch upon the UN Sustainable Development goals and support learning for sustainability.

Early Secondary Workshops (S1-S2)

Aerospace: Inspection and Repair: Undergo training to complete a full repair of your vehicle; learn about roles in aerospace maintenance.
Sustainable Design: Building Bridges: Research strength and shape in nature before building a bridge to save a village!

STEM on the Farm: Mapping and Monitoring: Discover mapping technologies in environmental science and land management as you complete a survey in our grounds.
STEM in the Garden: Root to Fruit: Explore the nutrition in your food, all the way from soil to plate.
